Having produced over 100 commercials in the last three years, one department at RedFish seems to keep bustling through all seasons: Local TV commercials. It has been a constant in the young life of RedFish Studios and has continued to find ways to make local commercials look network quality at budgets well under national ad creative budgets.
There are, like in the production of any commercial, challenges that drive new solutions with every spot we make. Nothing is insurmountable in commercial production if your writing is spot on. There is no point writing a commercial that is too expensive to produce or will just look badly produced. Let the script and story board do the heavy lifting. It is possible to create an inexpensive local commercial if your creative works on that basis. Write it cheap and clever.
Now RedFish Studios, who already produces localized spots for Canadian Broadcasters such as Global, Sun TV, and various specialty channels, will begin to work with local broadcasters in markets across North America. Our focus will be on helping broadcasters get new clients on air. Without creative they can afford, buying media is out of the question. Now local TV ad sales departments will be able access RedFish Studios for small-time commercials that make a big difference to the station's bottom line.
